Alister has over 25 years of executive search experience in international tax, and has successfully recruited and relocated international tax professionals to over 40 countries, including major markets in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, LATM, Africa and the Middle East.

Alister has worked with top companies (includes Fortune 500) across Banking & FS, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pharmaceutical, Bio Sciences, Manufacturing, Industrial, Engineering, FMCG, Fashion, Agriculture & Commodities, Construction, Technology, Tourism, Automotive and the Energy sectors.

He has also recruited for all of the Top 10 accounting firms, along with leading consulting and legal firms, all across the world. Alister has particular expertise in senior level placements including Heads of Tax and Equity Partners.

Having built his recruitment career at some of the UK's and world’s most prominent recruitment firms, and co-founding a successful international tax recruitment company, Alister launched Alva International Tax Recruitment in 2023. 

His aim was simple: to focus on what he loves most, working hand-in-hand with clients and high level international tax talent from all around the globe .
